We will be revisiting MASSDOT'S I495/90 Improvements Project with the JV Barletta Heavy Civil & O&G this upcoming fall! The 400mil project will alleviate the congestion and safety issues experienced daily due to 100,000+ vehicles travelling on both I-90 and I-495’s, including approximately half of all trucking entering eastern Massachusetts. The project includes the complete replacement of the interchange; several new bridges; new and redesigned ramps and lanes; restoration and mitigation of environmental resource areas while staying in compliance with a noise control plan to best serve the neighboring communities. Last year's tour was a great success and we thank Moles members Vin Barletta, Kevin Huie, Mike Foley and the Barletta team and the MASSDOT for their extensive support! Despite the downpour, 200 students and faculty, and over sixty Moles volunteers, boarded buses and were deployed to five stations including the MASSDOT’s Research and Materials Laboratory. At each site, presenters gave detailed technical presentations of the work in progress. SAVE THE DATE!
